-czynnościach powtarzających się (codziennie, raz na tydzień)
-uczuciach, wrażeniach (love, hate, like, see, hear)

Forma zdania w tym czasie:

Osoba czasownik (jeśli jest she, he, it- dodajemy do czasownika ?s?) reszta zdania.

I 'm staying at my uncle's. I was doing different things - playing volleyball, tennis, swimming and sailing. I spent a lot of time on the beach with my cousin, because it's very sunny and hot. Yesterday we went to a restaurant for supper. We ate the fruits of the sea.
